Rob's birthday
January 15th was Rob's birthday. Brynley was so excited about it that she helped me grocery shop and bake a birthday cake for Daddy! After a steak dinner, we lit one single candle on the cake and sang Happy Birthday to Rob. Then Brynley insisted that we light the candle again and sing Happy Birthday to her. ("my turn, my turn!") We also had to sing to her a week later at Tyler's birthday party...haha.
Needless to say, Brynley is very excited about her upcoming birthday and party! When we hung up our new calendar at the beginning of the year, we pointed out Rob's birthday in January. Then Brynley wanted to know where the birthdays were for herself, Mommy, Roman, Nana, Pawpaw, etc. Over the next few weeks, she kept asking Rob where her birthday was and he would flip the calendar to February to show her. On February 1st, when I flipped the calendar for good, Bryn started cheering and saying, "It my birthday!! It my birthday!!"

Things to remember - Brynley
She loves pretend play especially her play kitchen. "Mommy, cook with me!"
Pretends to be a frog...hops around living room and says ribbit!
Lately, she has been pretending to be a dog. wants to play fetch & says ruff, ruff". When I ask a question "do u want to cuddle?", she answers "ruff ruff" hahaha
Loves her brother: "I love you tooooooooooo much, Roman"
Names all the characters on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and then says "and what's something else on Mickey Mouse"
Butterfly & eskimo kisses
We brush our teeth so we don't get "booboos"
sleeps 8pm-8am and 1pm-4pm
bedtime routine: cuddle in my bed, rock, brush teeth, music on, fan on, nightlight on, battery candle on, read a book...the list keeps getting longer. Now I have to make sure she and kitty cat stuffed toy are tucked in and the closet door is shut.
She puts on her backpack, comes to me, give me a hug and kiss and says, "Bye mommy...I'm going to school!"
"I'm getting bigger every day"

Cooking with Chef Bryn
With Brynley, pretend play is where it is at right now. She loves her play kitchen, dressing up, cleaning, and acting like a froggie or a doggie. She often asks us to tie a baby blanket around her shoulders to she can be a "superhero". One day she asked me to put the blanket in on her head and she was calling it her "hair"!

Things to remember - Roman
Slept through the night once (sat, jan 28) until 7am or so!!
Usually wakes up 2-3 times a night between 7pm and 8am
Takes two naps, but they aren't very long or consistent...9am-ish and 1pm-ish
Lunges at your plate of food when you hold him
Got his first tooth around the end of December...he was working on it for WEEKS! It is the bottom front left. Now the bottom front right is coming in.
Blue eyes!!
Army crawling EVERYWHERE. Gets in dog's water dish, chews dad's shoelaces...he is into everything!!
Says "mamamamamama" (loves his mama!)

An interview with Brynley
This interview took place on Thursday, January 19, 2012. Commentary that I've added is in red.
Favorite color: "yellow" - funny, I'm not sure she even OWNS anything that is yellow.
Favorite animal: "horsey"
Favorite food: "toast" - i don't really think so; it just happened to be what she was looking at during our breakfast interview...haha
Favorite drink: "red juice" - juicy juice 100% juice fruit punch
Favorite TV show: "Mickey Mouse" - as in Clubhouse. She's only been watching it for two days!
Favorite song: "A, B, C, D, E, F, G, K..." - she sang the whole song with some missing letters. For example, H-I-J (always)
Favorite thing in the whole wide world: "place" - not sure she understood the question!
Favorite toy: "Elephant" - Elefun game
Favorite book: "Doggies" - by Sandra Boynton
