Bounce house

On July 18th (I'm still so far behind on blogging), I took Brynley to the bounce house for a little fun. She has actually started to go on some of the bouncy toys now. She is quite daring and will try anything, it seems. Just a few pics from our day:

Silly girl

Brynley continues to be a very energetic 2-year old! I joke that she doesn't stop moving or talking unless she is asleep. One thing is for sure...she makes us laugh on a daily basis!

Brynley loves to dance and has started to sing songs as well. She recognizes all her letters and colors and most of her shapes (including hexagon!). She enjoys being a big sister and often says "Roman cute", "Roman dancing (when he is kicking his legs", and "I love you, Roman". Of course, Roman sounds more like "Wo-man"...heehee.

Quite a challenge

Getting pictures of both the kids together has proven to be quite a challenge.  This particular day yielded a few cute photos and several outtakes!

This one in particular just cracks me up:

 Not too bad:

I feel the Earth move...under my feet...

"10 more minutes until naptime," I said to Brynley this afternoon at 1:50.

"Thunder!!" she said in return as we heard a low rumbling, but the sky was filled with sunshine.

Then the whole house started to shake. A few thoughts ran through my head at once...a truck crashing, a plane, an earthquake. Roman slept through the whole thing. Bryn and I ran around the house looking out windows and chanting, "Earthquake, earthquake!". (B also called it a volcano...haha). It woke Rob up from a dead sleep as well.

My mother-in-law called and said she had felt it too...that is when I knew it was real! Brynley & Roman experienced their very first earthquake today. In Virginia. Crazy!! The news is saying it was a 5.9 on the Richter scale and based out of Mineral, VA (about 80 miles from where we live).

I am so blessed...

...to be the mommy of these two sweet children
