Easter

Our family has been so busy lately that it seems that Easter just snuck up on us. We were planning on taking Brynley to a local Easter egg hunt last week, but it got rained out. So, today we enjoyed a quiet Easter at home. Brynley wore a "pretty dress" (her words), enjoyed the goodies in her basket, and had an egg hunt in the backyard (she did really well!). Tons of pics...

Giggling through a bubble avalanche to start the day:

The purple socks were B's idea:

The Easter bunny had some eggs laying in the yard (those were easy!)

One egg was under the arch where Mommy & Daddy got married:

Happy Easter to all!!!

Ponytail (-ish)

Brynley used to hate shoes when she was a baby; she refused to wear them or keep them on. Now she wants to have shoes on all the time (maybe because they hold the possibility of going "outside")

She also used to detest hats. Now she'll beg for a hat whenever we are outside or in the car.

She still can't stand bows in her hair. She brought me a ponytail holder one day and let me put it in her hair (very quickly!) before yanking it out. Will she eventually come around? :)

The ponytail of shame (and baggy eyes!!):

Twelve-bun salute

As I was writing out my to-do list the other day, I noticed that my dear Brynley was particularly quiet. Expecting trouble, I looked up at the ottoman in front of me and saw this:

A perfect twelve-bun salute!!

Fashion sense

My very independent daughter has decided that she wants to pick out her own clothes. The other evening, Rob was getting her dressed for bed. She chose her Christmas reindoor footed PJs, a very classy lace sweater, and glittery slip-on shoes. She thought she was looking pretty stylish!

Taylor Day

A few weeks ago, we had a play date with the Taylor triplets. It was a nice day outside so we went to the playground. Brynley adored the bubbles and the slides! Unfortunately, the batteries died in my camera about five minutes after we got there so there are only a few pictures (and none at all of the triplets...UGH!)

Spring Fever

Brynley & I are both ready for Spring! It has become very cold in Virginia again this week, but a few weeks ago, it was nice enough to play outside without a coat on so we took advantage.
