A million toys

A million toys and yet it was this simple box that provided weeks of entertainment!

17 months old

I love:

• the gap between your two front teeth. When you started getting teeth, I missed that toothless grin, but that gap sure does heal my heart!
• watching you learn new things on a daily basis. I asked if you wanted eggs the other day and you started repeating "eggs, eggs". Yesterday, you took my keys at Nana's house and tried to put them in the front door lock.
• the way you say juice....."Jooooooce, jooooooce"
• watching you become more confident at walking. You even speed walk now!
• your affectionate nature. Your hugs and kisses are the best. When I say "Where are my kisses?", you pucker up.
• your mischievous grin, although I shouldn't admit it.
• how beautiful you look in dresses or a Redskins jersey....you wear it all well!
• the curls on the back of your head
• watching you try to maneuver a spoon although it always leaves a great big mess.
• how you can find an empty snack cup anywhere in the room, bring it to me or Dad, and tell us "more" in sign language.
• how you pull your shirt up and look at your stomach when I say "Where's your belly button?"
• the babbling and cooing you do when you first wake up. It's such a nice noise to wake up to.
• your bravery. The first time you went up the stairs, you didn't even stumble; you acted as if you had done it a million times before. Now you insist on getting out of my arms so that you can go up the stairs by yourself (I stay right behind you, of course). You also climb on the couches and get down from them yourself.
• the surprised little face you make when anyone in the room passes gas, including yourself.
• how when I say "night-night time", you immediately start walking towards the stairs, waving to Daddy, and saying "Ni-Ni" over and over again.
• you, so very, very much!

You love:

• bananas, watermelon, cheese, mum-mums, JUICE!
• brushing your teeth
• dancing and music
• reading
• animals
• massaging someone's fingers when you are tired (STILL...this is just SO Brynley!)
• splashing in water
• Sesame Street when I break down and let you watch a few minutes of it. :)
• talking on the phone
• your Daddy
