5 months old (well...5-1/2 months!)
These monthly onesie pictures are getting more interesting as Brynley is getting more squirmy!

At 5 months, Brynley...
- Fights sleep at naptime, but does pretty well at bedtime
- Is actually beginning to enjoy bathtime a bit
- Rolls back to belly, but not belly to back yet
- Has a big belly laugh that, when you hear it, you can't help but laugh along with her
- Tries to mimic sounds that people make
- Babbles and sometimes it sounds like "Mama" or "Hi!"
- Closes her eyes and grins wide when you blow gently on her face
- Is very interested in watching people eat
- Loves animals and music
- Is practicing holding bottles and spoons!
- Sits supported
- Has a family that thinks she makes the world go 'round!

5 months old...
It is hard to believe, but Ms. B is 5 months old (as of July 13th). We went to get portraits done on that day and they turned out nice. She only smiled for a few...somehow when that camera comes out, it is all she will pay attention to. (Pics to come later...)
On July 18th, we went to a party for my father-in-law's 60th birthday. Brynley met several new friends there. She was quite fussy all weekend though and I believe she is trying to cut her first tooth. I can't remember if she has ever been this grumpy!
On July 19th (My bday), we (Me, Rob, my brother Doug, my nephew Wesley, and Bryn) all went to the Japanese Steak House for dinner. Bryn didn't even fuss when they lit the grill on fire. My in-laws gave me a wonderful birthday gift...a Flip Video! This thing is awesome...it's a video camera that is simple to use and simple to transfer videos...so maybe I will finally fulfill my promise of putting some videos up on this blog. I can even view the videos on our home TV which we experimented with tonight. Very fun! If you have a little one, I would highly recommend this gadget. It's very small so I can carry it with me at all times and never miss one of Brynley's special "moments".
Here are a few pics of the little lady over the past few weeks:

Sorry for the random, rambling post. I am running off very little sleep and my thoughts are all jumbled. Still, I'm happy...and very, very lucky!

Happy 4th of July!
Brynley celebrated her first 4th of July with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma & Grandpa at the cottage house in Maryland. She even went "swimming" for the first time ever! She was in bed long before any of the big fireworks, but Grandma did give her a sparkler show which she seemed to enjoy.
One cool baby!!
She actually tolerated being in the pool longer than we thought she would.

But after about 5 minutes, she was done with it!
Proud to be an American

Brynley often puts the soles of her feet together and rubs them back and forth like crazy. Grandma says that if she keeps doing that, she's going to start a fire (just like rubbing two sticks together!) That made me laugh!
Our little girl rolled over for the second time on the 4th of July. She has done it a few more times since then, but has not quite perfected it...or done it intentionally!

Please forgive me...
For those of you who are checking this blog on a regular basis (all three of you...just kidding..haha), I apologize for not posting lately.
I figured that if I posted a bunch of pictures, you would forgive me. :)

Giggly naked baby!
Mommy & Daddy just crack me up!

Brynley news:
- She rolled over for the very first time yesterday (7/2/09)...from her back to her belly.
- She started making a loud pitched squeal on Father's Day.
- Two weeks later, she now makes a sharp inhaling noise prior to the squeal.
- She has the cutest giggle.
- She loves animals, music, playing peek-a-boo, her toys, her stuffed duck (we might have another Ava on our hands), and jumping ("bouncing")
- She recognizes Rob or I when we walk in the room and gets very excited. She starts squealing and kicking her little feet as fast as she can.
- Bryn enjoys her Mondays with Grandma. Most of the time, she doesn't give Grandma a lot of trouble!
- Her hair is getting thicker, but mostly just in the front and at the top...so she has a triangle of thick hair front and center (see above photos). Very cute!
- She is 4-1/2 months old...a fact I can hardly believe.
- She continues to amaze me everyday. I love her more than I ever thought possible!
- Sleeps like she is sunbathing: kicks the blankets off, puts both hands behind her head...elbows out to the side. I have yet to get a good picture of this for fear that she will wake up when the flash goes off! :)
